The Parish Council now hopes a new Community Plan can be produced and following the public meeting held in April 2009, a Steering Group has been appointed. The first meeting of the Group was held on 26 May when Councillor Dianne Pimm was appointed as Chair. The Group received a presentation from Amy Robinson from Rural Action Yorkshire who advised on a project management package and potential funding. The Parish Council was unsuccessful in its Lottery application and will now seek other funding to support the Group's work. It is hoped this will include a survey of households to identify the needs and aspirations of the community, leading to a public launch and the development of an Action Plan.
